Everything is buildable.

Hi! I'm Rachel: engineer, systems person, chronic builder. Everything I build starts with the same three questions: Who is it for? What's their problem? How can I help? Ten years of shipping software says the method works.

This very website

My website changes when I do. That's my favorite part of it. This year's renovation? Returning to my engineering roots.

A Pilates business that runs on Obsidian

I teach classical Pilates (Peak certified) and run the whole business in Obsidian with Claude: client tracking, automated reporting, weekly metrics, a content pipeline. It's the same systems framework I used to ship cloud products. I'm not even joking.

A YouTube channel about systems

Obsidian, personal knowledge management, and what happens when you treat your notes like a codebase.

A little about me

Pick one thing? No thanks.

I've been an engineer, a product manager, a business owner, and right now I'm back to building full time. The industries kept changing (oil and gas, real estate, cloud marketplaces, network security), but the job was always the same: understand the problem, build the system, ship it.

Off the clock I compete in West Coast Swing, lift heavy things on purpose, and keep an Obsidian vault that is honestly better organized than most codebases I've met.

Being a generalist is a skill. You just have to learn how to use it.
